  • Login to your Canara Bank Account via User ID and Password followed by Capcha and language selection.
  • Then from the top menu select the “Account” option.
  • Just after this, in the left hand side menu you will get some options among which you have to select the “Beneficiary Maintenance”.
  • Under this option you will get two options “Add Beneficiary” and “View Beneficiaries“.
  • Select the “Add Beneficiary” option and in the pop up menu further you will get two options under “Select Transaction Type
  • If you want to add beneficiary who is having account in the Canara Bank you have to choose “Within Canara Bank“.  If the beneficiary is having account in different bank then choose “Transfer to other bank“.
  • For Canara Bank Beneficiary you have to fill some details like Beneficiary Name, Nick Name, Account number( twice) and IFSC Code.
  • For other bank beneficiary you should fill few details like Beneficiary Short Name, Beneficiary Name, Account number(enter twice), IFSC Code, Bank Name, Branch Name.
  • After entering these details you have to click on “Confirm” button.
  • Then you will be taken to a new web page where you have to enter “Transaction Password” and “OTP” and finally click on the “Submit” button.
  • At last your new beneficiary will be added.

Via mobile banking you can also manage your account beneficiaries. Even Mobile Banking has more usage than Net Banking because it is more handy option available which can be accessed anytime anywhere.

To add new beneficiary to your Canara Bank account all you need to do is following some simple steps mentioned below:

  • Firstly go to Canara Bank mobile application CANDI and log into it.
  • Then click on “INTERNET BANKING” and click on “VIEW YOUR BALANCE“.
  • Then select “Beneficiaries” under “Quick Links” to add the beneficiary.
  • In this you will get two options “Within Canara” and “Other Banks“.
  • If you want to transfer funds to the beneficiary of same bank(Canara Bank) then you should go with “Within Canara” option else choose “Other Banks” and click on “Add Beneficiary” button.
  • Details which you needed in case of “Within Canara” are Account number and Name of beneficiary with IFSC code. After that new beneficiary account will be activated and you can send money to that account via IMPS.
  • If you choose “Other Banks” select “Choose Bank” and select the Bank of the beneficiary from the drop down menu. Now you have to enter the beneficiary Name, Account number and IFSC code
  • At last you have to Submit all the details by clicking “Continue” button.
  • Now enter your MPIN and you will see a message on screen “Beneficiary Added Successfully“.
After adding new beneficiary account you have to wait for up to 6 hours for your first transaction.

Delete beneficiary in Canara Bank [Net Banking]

For Deleting any added beneficiary from your Canara bank account follow the respective steps carefully.

  • Go to Canara Bank’s official website.
  • Login to your account via User ID and Password followed by Capcha and language selection.
  • Then from the top menu select the “Account” option.
  • Just after this in the left hand side menu you will get some options among which you have to select the “Beneficiary Maintenance”.
  • Under this option you will get two options “Add Beneficiary” and “View Beneficiaries“.
  • Under “View Beneficiaries” you have to get two options “Within Canara” and “IMPS-Other Banks“.
  • Select the option as per requirement and click the beneficiary you want to delete from the list by clicking the “Delete” button which will be displayed below the list. By this the beneficiary will be deleted easily.

Delete beneficiary in Canara Bank [Mobile Banking]

  • Firstly go to Canara Bank app CANDI and log in to it using your Passcode.
  • Now click on “INTERNET BANKING” and select “VIEW YOUR BALANCE“.
  • Then select “Beneficiaries” under “Quick Links” to delete the beneficiary.
  • In this you will get two options “Within Canara” and “Other Banks“.
  • If you want to delete the beneficiary of same bank(Canara Bank) then you should go with “Within Canara” option else choose “Other Banks“.
  • Here you will find the list of all the already added beneficiaries Names with a delete button, present at the right side of the name.
  • Click on the Trash/Delete Sign and give confirmation by clicking on “Confirm” button.
  • Now enter your “MPIN“.
  • Now you will see the message on screen that “Payee Deleted Successfully” and the beneficiary is removed from the list.

Q1. Is it must to add the nickname of the beneficiary?

No, it is totally optional and it is the choice of the account holder to give a nickname to his beneficiaries

Q2. Can an account holder have same nicknames for two different beneficiaries?

An account holder can choose any nickname for his beneficiaries but it should be totally different from one another. No two beneficiaries should have same nicknames.

Q3. What if I forgot my MPIN ?

If an account holder has forgotten his MPIN then he can go to the forget MPIN option where user has to input his user ID and and he can simply reset his MPIN.

Q4. Is it must to add beneficiary before sending amount?

Yes, It is must to add beneficiary for sending amount to his/her bank account if you are sending amount to the customer of another bank (except Canara Bank).

Q5. How can I know the IFSC code of the beneficiary’s bank ?

There is a tool available for searching IFSC code. You can simply click on that option and find the IFSC code among the suggested options in the list.
