Steps for SBI Mobile Number Change Online Without Visiting Branch, Using Net Banking
- Visit SBI Net Banking Portal and complete the SBI Net Banking Registration
- Then login into your SBI Account using SBI Net Banking Username and password
- Go to “Profile” option present at the left hand side menu
- Now click on “Personal Details/Mobile”
- Now enter your SBI Profile Password and click on the “Submit” button
- On the next screen, your Name, Email ID, and Current Registered Mobile Number will be displayed
- Besides the mobile number option, two different links will be shown.
- The first option is Change Mobile Number( Through Branch) and Change Mobile Number: Domestic only(Through OTP/ATM)
- Click on the second option Change Mobile Number: Domestic only(Through OTP/ATM)
- Now Enter the new mobile number twice which you want to link to your SBI bank account
- Now verify and confirm your new mobile number and click on the “Submit” button
- Then on the next step click on “Create Request“
- You will again see two different options:
- By OTP on both Both the Mobile Number
- IRATA: Internet Banking Request Approval Through ATM
- Click on the first option “By OTP on both Both the Mobile Numbers” and click on “Proceed”
- On the next screen choose the account number(in case of multiple accounts) for which you want SBI phone number to change
- Now, choose the ATM Debit Card which is Active and Linked to your account
- In the next step you have to enter your SBI Debit Card Details like Expiry Date, Card Holder Name and SBI ATM PIN
- If you do not remember your SBI ATM PIN then you first have to complete SBI ATM pin generation process
- Now enter the Captcha Code and click on “Proceed”
- After the validation of your card details, a reference number will be generated

- Now you will receive an SMS, in which you will get an OTP and Reference number, on both of your mobile numbers

- Example: ACTIVATE 12345678 UM123456789
- Note: Complete this process within 4 hours
- Now again you will receive SMS on your mobile that your mobile number has been updated successfully

SBI Mobile Number Change Online Without Net Banking Through ATM
- Visit your near by SBI ATM outlet
- Swipe/Insert your card
- Now select your preferred language
- Then on the next screen choose the “Registration” option
- Now enter your 4-digit ATM Debit Card PIN
- Tap on the “Mobile Number Registration” option
- Now choose the “Change Mobile Number” option
- Then on the next screen, you have to enter your OLD Mobile Number
- Enter the same old mobile number again
- Now enter the NEW Mobile Number which you want to link with your SBI Account
- Enter this new number again and click on “Correct”
- Then you will receive an OTP and A reference number on both of your mobile
- Now you have to send a message, from both of your mobile numbers, in the format of ACTIVATE <OTP><Reference Number>to 567676 within 4 hours
- After sending this message for some time you will get a confirmation message on your phone that your new number in updated with the State bank of India successfully
SBI Online Mobile Number Registration Without Old Mobile Number
- Go to SBI Net Banking Portal
- Then enter SBI Net Banking Username and password and login into SBI Account
- An OTP will be received on your registered mobile number
- Enter the OTP and you will be entered into your SBI Net banking account
- Now Go to the “Profile” option on the left-hand menu
- Click “Personal Details/Mobile”
- Enter SBI Profile Password and click the “Submit” button
- Now Name, Email ID, and Current Registered Mobile Number will be displayed
- Beside the mobile number option, two different links will be shown.
- The first option is Change Mobile Number( Through Branch) and Change Mobile Number: Domestic only(Through OTP/ATM)

- Now Enter the new mobile number twice which you want to link to your SBI bank account

- Click on the second option “IRATA: Internet Banking Request Approval Through ATM” and click on “Proceed”
- On the next screen your account information will be displayed on screen like your Branch Name, Account Number etc.
- On the next screen select your Active ATM Debit Card at the next step
- Note: If you do not have ATM card then you can complete the steps of Yono SBI ATM Card apply and can apply card using Yono SBI App
- Now enter your SBI ATM Card details like Card Holder Name, PIN and Captcha code
- You will get an SMS in which your reference number will be mentioned
- Then for completing the process of registering your new mobile number with SBI bank account you have to visit your near by SBI ATM outlet
- After visiting ATM you have to insert/swipe your ATM card
- Then select the language and enter your 4-digit ATM PIN
- Now choose “Services” and select “Others“
- Then choose “Internet Banking Request Approval“
- Enter the 10-digit reference number which you received on your phone and then confirm it
- You new mobile number will be added to your SBI Bank account successfully and you will get an confirmation message on your mobile regarding sbi to account mobile number change
Check Status or Cancel the Request
- Login into SBI Net Banking account using Username and Password
- Then Go to the “Profile” option
- Now click on “Personal Details“
- On the next page your Name, Email ID, and Current registered mobile number will be shown
- Now click on the option “Change Mobile Number-Domestic only (Through OTP/ATM)“
- On the next screen under the “‘Personal Details-Mobile Number Update” option click on “Status” to know out the status of your request
- You will see “Pending or Successful” as the status of your request

- You will see a message stating “Your Reference Number UMxxxxxxxxxx is successfully cancelled” on the screen
