What is the access level of the SBI account?

SBI access level is one of the features of SBI which gives choice to customers to manage their account activities as per their requirements. Different Access levels are there according to the need of the customers. Which can be upgraded and downgraded at any time by using digital channels.

At the time of the SBI Net Banking Registration, you have to select the SBI e-services access level from the given options according to the type of your bank account. If you chose View Only level at the time of registration then later at any time you can proceed to SBI net banking upgrade access level.

Types of State Bank of India (SBI) Access Level

There are three types of access levels in SBI Bank.

View Only: In this access level, a customer can only view the basic details of his account. Any kind of transaction cannot be done under this category. 

Limited Transaction Rights: In Limited transaction Rights, you can transfer money only within your own SBI accounts having the same SBI CIF number. Also, you can create eTDR, eSTDR, e-FD at this level. 

Full Transaction Rights: In this, you can avail all the facilities provided by SBI bank to its customers. For example, third party fund transfer, access to Internet Banking, Bill payments and many more.

How to Upgrade Access Level in SBI through SBI YONO?

  1. Login in to SBI YONO app

    Install and login to SBI YONO Mobile App using User ID or Password or through MPIN. Now go to the “Quick Links” section.

  2. Go to Service Request

    Under the “Quick Links” section you will find “Service Request”. Click on the “Service Request” option.

  3. Tap on Settings

    Now go to “Settings” option and select it.

  4. Click on “Manage Transaction Rights”

    Click on “Manage Transaction Rights”. This option is available under the “Security” section.sbi online upgrade access level

  5. Select Account

    Select the Bank Account.
    If you have multiple accounts in SBI then you have to select the account from the list. Then you want to upgrade net banking access level. If you have only one account it will be selected by default.

  6. Select Transaction Rights

    Now choose the “Transaction Rights”. Here SBI e-services access level can be upgraded from Limited Transaction Rights/ Full Transaction Rights to SBI View Only Access Level

    Now enter your SBI Internet Banking Profile Password. And after completing all the steps properly your SBI Access Level will be upgraded within 1 hour.

How to Upgrade Access Level in SBI Net Banking 2021?

  • Go to SBI official website https://www.onlinesbi.com/.
  •  Now Click on “Login” under the “Personal Banking” section.
  •  Enter your Username and Password and Captcha Image to login into your SBI Internet banking account.

Downgrade SBI Access Level Using SBI Yono Mobile App

  • Firstly, download the SBI Yono app on your mobile.
  • Register and login into Yono mobile application.
  • Now go to the “Quick Links” section.
  • Then tap on the “Settings” option.
  • Again click on the “Manage Transaction Rights” option visible in the “Security” section.
  • Now choose your SBI bank account which you want to downgrade for the access level.
  • After that, select the access level from Full Transaction Rights/ Limited Transaction Rights to Limited Transaction Rights / View Only.
  • Finally, The request will be submitted and will reflect in your account within 24 hours.

How to Downgrade SBI access level through Net Banking?

  • Go to SBI official website.
  • Login into SBI net banking using your user  ID and Password.
  • Now go to “Request and Enquiries” section.
  • Tap on the option “Upgrade/ Downgrade Access Level“.

  • Select the access level from the list given under the downgrade access level.

  • Click on submit button.

SBI Account Upgrade/Downgrade Access Level by Visiting Home Branch

  • Visit your SBI home branch with your Address proof and ID proof Documents.
  • Ask for the SBI Upgrade/Downgrade Access Level Form from the bank officials.
  • Fill in the all-important details like your Name, Account Number, Account Type, etc.
  • Submit the duly filled form with self-attested documents to the bank.
  • Access Level in SBI will be changed within 24 hours.
